I did not believe that any part of setting up an ePortfolio was easy. It was a lot of trial and error, but I eventually figured it out. Truthfully, the easiest part was setting up each page. It felt like I had made a map of my site and could figure out what direction I wanted to go in.
The most challenging part was, and still is, accessing the website and making edits. Many features on Wix are very similar, and sometime I hit edit and end up editing the whole page instead of a text box. After having a lot of time to reflect, the website is not hard to use, just can be a it frustrating sometimes.
My first completed update to my Wix page was a mess. There was no color scheme. It has a lot of color, but it did not match at all. I changed it from a yellow, red, green, etc mess to a blue color scheme. Some of the links didn't work, such as the bar to take you to different parts of the site, but it has been fixed. There were a lot of amateur mistakes made. With that being said, I was still very confident in my design. It was my first professional space and I did it all by myself. I went back and fixed everything, and can now say it is a functioning website. I would like to continue to update that layout and make the design element more professional.
Since I have done this before, I do not have any questions at this time. As time goes on I might have a question or two, but I have a decent understanding of the website and how to do basic ePortfolio tasks.
I have made changes to the layout of my website, completely changed the color scheme, updated my personal information ad resume, and removed some projects that I did for another class. I removed these projects because I did not see how they would be interesting to other employers and did not fit the vision I had for my website.
*At the bottom of the page is an example of how much my ePortolio has changed visually. Notice the colors are different and the messages are reworded.*
