Spreadable Content

The content I shared was a Tik Tok of a woman making buttered chicken, which is a popular Indian dish. I sent it to my sister in the direct message feature on Tik Tok because neither of us have ever tried Indian food and I shared my interest in trying to make this dish when I get home for Christmas break. This was very consistent with how I share my content, as I thought of my sister when I saw the video, and then sent it to her. This content was spreadable through relateability. I saw this video and fit the intended audience, someone who is interested in cooking and baking, and shared it with someone who I thought would enjoy it as much as I did. I interacted with the video as the author intended for me to, and I saw content that I was looking for. Some content creators on TikTok get paid for the content, but this account was smaller with a few thousand likes and a few hundred followers. The creator did get publicity from me sharing the video to someone who also interacted with it, with likes and views. If the creator is sponsored in anyway, then the video went towards how much they are gonna get paid by the sponsorship company. Likes and views are everything on TikTok, and many creators go out of their way to find ways to get more. My sister watched it and like it inside the direct message feature, and I assume she also hit the like button while watching the video. She also saved it to her recipe video chapter on her TikTok page, which means he favorited the video. The more a video is liked in TikTok the more it is shown other people that are someone connected to the person, like their mutuals and followers.
